Job Description:
: Brainerd Chemical is a major manufacturer, producer, and
distributor of chemicals for research facilities, industrial plants
and agricultural operations. We have consistently over-served our
customers by working to exceed expectations by providing prompt and
accurate services, including rail terminaling, large-scale
packaging, bulk storage, bulk blending, contract packaging and
logistic facilitating for larger organizations. We also provide
chemicals for Oil & Gas, Food Safety, Water Treatment,
Manufacturing, and many other industries. This position is located
at our Corporate office in downtown Tulsa. Brainerd Chemical has

running. Summary: The Corporate Sales Representative's primary
focus is on prospecting and targeting chemical manufacturing,
blending, and sales opportunities, account management and retention
of our chemical customer base. Responsibilities: --- Identifies
prospective customers for use as sales leads through proactive
networking, cold calls, and other proven business research methods
--- Understands the strategic focus of the company and targets
market search to those strategic areas --- Establishes, develops,
and maintains positive business and customer relationships ---
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by keeping abreast
of best practices and promotional trends within the industry ---
Travels to call on current and prospective customers to solicit
orders and build rapport --- Communicates the value proposition of
Brainerd's products and service offerings using various marketing
materials, technical documents, and experience --- Creates and
maintains sales presentations for internal and external use ---
Operate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) software in order to maintain call reports and
keep management informed --- Maintains sales volume, product mix,
and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand,
changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors ---
Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs,
competition, and supply and demand --- Establishes working
relationship with customer service representatives within the
company to keep account activities and sales literature up to date
and accurate Requirements:
--- Bachelor's degree in business from a 4 year college or
university, or a combination of education/training and experience;
high school diploma or GED required. --- Minimum 3 years of sales
experience within a fast-paced corporate environment; 5 years
experience required of candidates without degree; --- Highly
proficient knowledge of MS Office products; --- Excellent written
communication skills, including the ability to write routine
reports and business correspondence; --- Excellent verbal
communication skills, including the ability to speak effectively
before groups of customers or employees of organizations --- Basic
algebra skills and the ability to calculate figures and amounts
such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, and
percentages --- Must possess experience managing multiple,
competing projects at once time --- Must have strong negotiation
skills --- Engage effectively with senior management, sales team,
and key functional teams --- Chemical industry experience preferred
--- CRM software experience preferred --- Technical degree or
