Future The Role Support a comprehensive quality control team
through the development of internal quality procedures including,
but not limited to; inspections, process documentation,
instrumentation, and preventative action tools. Working directly
with Quality Management to conduct internal and external audits of
our Quality Management System, as well as collaborating with our
continuous improvement team to ensure quality is maintained during
manufacturing efficiency gains. What you will be responsible for:
Advocate and educate all levels of employees on the Kelvion quality
statement. Plans and oversees activities concerned with
development, application, and maintenance of quality standards.
Develops and implements standards and methods for inspection,
testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields.
Establish program to evaluate analytical testing equipment,
facilities, precision measurements, accuracy measurements, and
performance testing. Compiles and writes training material and
conducts training sessions on quality control activities. Develop
and implement a QMS compliant to ISO 9001:2015 resulting in
certification. Maintain and audit manufacturing adherence to our
quality management system. Manage root cause analysis program
including 8D, 5-why, fishbone, etc. Communicate findings and
establish preventative action measures with customer engagement.
Develop Process Flow Maps and PFMEA to identify and evaluate
potential failures of a process. Use proactive tools like PFMEA to
identify quality control issues before they happen, working with
the quality supervisor to implement preventive measures. Develop a
robust calibration system and work with Quality personnel to
maintain. Work closely with and support the Supplier Quality
Engineer. Work with quality control documentation team to update
visual work instructions, quality inspection checklists, and data
collection points; ensure data collection is useful and actionable
for preventative measures. COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS
(knowledge, skills, and abilities) Ability to read and comprehend
simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and procedure
manuals in English. Ability to write correspondence in English.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small
group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the
organization. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels) Bachelor’s
degree in engineering or related field or equivalent combination of
education and job experience Minimum 3-5 years of experience in
Quality Engineering Ability to communicate with a cross-functional
internal team as well as direct communication with high-value
customers A hands-on approach to problem solving and desire to
collaborate directly with manufacturing labor force to implement
and maintain quality procedures Strong computer literacy to develop
and maintain digital process documentation, Microsoft Office suite
proficiency required Experience implementing or maintaining ISO9001
documentation Six Sigma Green / Black belt certification
