Job Description
The Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator has responsibility
for administration of the training, operating procedures, and
record keeping elements of the PSM program, and is accountable for
all regulatory compliance activities for the NGL Supply
Terminals.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Partners in the development, implementation, and continuous
improvement of the PSM program for NGL Energy Supply Terminal
assets
Responsible for maintaining operator PSM training records,
coordinating operator PSM training, and delivering PSM training as
required
Maintain a working knowledge of PSM (14 elements) and applicable
state and federal rules and regulations
Coordinates and participates in PSM audits and Process Hazard
Analysis (PHA)
Reviews and assists with Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup
Safety Reviews (PSSRs)
Partners in the development and maintenance of standard operating
procedures
Knowledgeable about regulatory requirements under pertinent OSHA,
EPA, PHMSA, DOT, and DHS regulations
Assist with the development and review of operating procedures
Assist with the review of process safety information and ensure
P&IDs are up to date
Collects and analyzes data required for regulatory compliance
reporting
Serves as a contact with regulatory bodies and participates in
regulatory audits and/or investigations
Set up training with the local fire departments, and the LEPC to
include hazmat drills and tabletop exercises
Assist with creating and updating digital records in online
database
Maintains, populates, and publishes applicable metrics (Key
Performance Indicators)
Regular attendance at the worksite is required; some travel is
required
Assist with tracking PSM action items and keeping responsible
parties aware of outstanding items due dates
Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal
supervision
Must be dependable with a stable work history
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication
skills
Ability to maintain stability under pressure and be flexible and
willing to modify plans and behavior when necessary
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends
and/or holidays
Ability to work overtime as necessary
Ability to be a positive representative of the Company both
internally and externally
Ability to work with respect and cooperation at all times with
fellow employees and customers
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be committed to working safely at all times
Experience/Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred
Knowledge and experience with regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA,
PHMSA) is required
(A combination of education and/or additional relevant work
experience may be considered as equivalent to degree.)
Experience in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119, EPA 40 CFR Part 68, PHMSA 192 &
195, 49 CFR 171-185 is desired
Must maintain knowledge of current best practices, codes &
standards, and current engineering practices.
Travel:
Up to 30% travel required. Requires the ability to travel by air
and/or ground transportation as appropriate and requires frequent
overnight travel. Because automobile travel is required for the
role, a valid Driver's License is required. Maintenance of a
satisfactory driving record to meet insurability requirements is
also required. May require travel to field locations where work
environment may vary significantly.

extreme heat
Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, hand tools and
small to medium-sized power tool use
Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock
As a remote position, the worksite is not assigned or provided by
NGL. Reasonable and professionally appropriate workspace, including
satisfactory internet connectivity, is necessary for participation
in calls and/or video calls & meetings as required.
This position is best located in the pacific northwest, northeast,
or south-central region. Nearby access to a commercial airport with
convenient domestic flight options is required. (WA, MA, VA)
