Job Description:
This is a new 15-bed MedSurg overflow unit on the 5th floor with
low hospital traffic.
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1, with 3 RNs scheduled per shift, plus
a unit secretary and PCTs.
Both day and night shifts available, with flexible scheduling.
Compensation includes shift differentials ($3.50-$4.50/hr) and
weekend ($2.50/hr), plus holiday pay.
The RN is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning,
implementing, and evaluating patient care, delegating tasks, and
supervising staff while maintaining professional standards.
Requirements include a State Board-accredited nursing degree, RN
license in Texas, BLS certification within two weeks, and preferred
1 year acute hospital experience.
Full-time position with 12-hour shifts (7 am-7 pm or 7 pm-7
am).
